Lieutenant-Colonel Charles Hamilton Grant Hume Harvey-Kelly DSO (1885–1982) was Military Attaché to Kabul (1924–26).〔''Who’s Who 1935'', Published by A&C Black Ltd, 1935〕 He was brother to H.D. Harvey-Kelly, the first RFC pilot to land in France in the First World War. Harvey-Kelly was educated at Bedford Modern School and Sandhurst.〔''Who’s Who, 1935'', Published by A&C Black Limited 1935〕 He was commissioned in 1905 and appointed to the Indian Army in 1906 where he served in East Africa (Somaliland) between 1908 and 1910.
